Online Casinos or Facebook Games

Social media has become one of the most used things online. That would be Facebook, Tumblr or Twitter, every seven out of ten people visit these sites on a regular basis and the potential for profit can be easily seen. The way Facebook can profit is not that far from the online casino, but how is it different and what should a person choose?

Online casinos have been around for a bit longer than Facebook and the games that Zinga offers. While online casinos plainly tell you that you are about to gamble, Facebook games simply do not state it.

Similarities

Casino games are a representation, to some extent, of games that could be found in most ground based casinos. These games can be very fun and engaging and extremely entertaining as well as addictive. The same could be said about all the different Facebook games. They too can suck up a lot of your time without you realizing it, simply because they are so fun to play.

Both of these entertainment platforms can be accessed by a phone or a tablet which makes them accessible virtually 24/7. Both of these platforms allow the use of real money. With Facebook you can use money in order to buy new items, however, you cannot win money. Not at least in a legal way.

Just like in World of Warcraft and other online based games like Team Fortress 2, people can sell items and they can “farm” for goods. Some items in Team Fortress 2 can cost up to five thousand dollars. In WoW people sell gold and the same can be said about games like FarmVille where people “farm” and sell different items for real life payments via Paypal and other means.

Differences

While you can illegally win from both of these types of games, casinos offer you a legal and bigger payout than any other form. Facebook games are not officially marked as gambling. As such they are not subjected to the same laws that would fall upon the online casinos.

This can leave you vulnerable to fraud and other unpleasant situations. Once you deposit money in a casino, depending on the rules, you can double and triple your winnings then withdraw your money. With Facebook games, withdrawing your money is impossible. According to the system, they can only be spent.

At the end of the day, it is up to you to decide whether or not you would like to spend money. The truth is that both types can be played without spending a penny, and the question is if you want to make some or not!
